Strength. Resilience. Courage. These are the values behind “Malakas at Matatag na Bato”—and they are the same values that guide us at CuraKidney every day.

On September 4, 2025, CuraKidney officially launched the first leg of its Barangay Caravan: CuraKidney Strong—Malakas at Matatag na Bato, in partnership with Barangay Santolan and the Pasig City PWD Association led by Mr. Eldin Rogero Sabuco.

The caravan was designed to bring important conversations about kidney health closer to the community. One of the highlights was a talk given by Dr. Jason Paul Medina, CuraKidney’s Co-founder, Medical Director, and nephrologist. Dr. Medina shared practical insights about kidney disease, dialysis, and how access to safe and high-quality care can change lives—not only by helping patients live longer, but also by helping them live better. His simple, easy-to-understand explanations gave patients and their families a clearer picture of what dialysis really means and why it’s important to demand quality in every session.

After the talk, attendees were escorted to a guided tour of the CuraKidney facilities at Ayala Malls Feliz. This gave patients and their families the chance to personally see the clean, cozy, and patient-centered environment inside the dialysis center. They were shown how CuraKidney upholds its promise of safe, high-quality dialysis, from the use of single-use dialyzers to the comfortable, well-equipped treatment areas. For many, the experience brought reassurance and a deeper understanding of the care CuraKidney provides.

But more than the medical side, the event created space for listening, sharing, and encouraging one another. Patients and families had the chance to ask questions, exchange experiences, and feel the support of both CuraKidney and their local leaders.

For us at CuraKidney, this caravan is more than an outreach—it’s an extension of our mission to make Care. Comfort. Cura. a lived reality, not just inside our dialysis center but also in the communities we serve. By holding these barangay visits, we hope to build stronger awareness about kidney health, remind families that help is available, and let patients know that they are never alone in their journey.

This first step with Barangay Santolan and the Pasig City PWD Association is only the beginning. In the coming months, CuraKidney aims to continue bringing “Malakas at Matatag na Bato” to more barangays across Pasig and beyond—because together, we can build communities that are stronger, healthier, and full of hope.
